Wolf Mountain Products (WMP) is a basic provider of barks, bark products, mulches, ground covers, topdressings, divot mixes, playground chips, soil enhancements, professional grow mixes and the firsTurf® range of slow release nitrogen containing solutions serving the golf course and tree and ornamental industries. The firsTurf range of unique plant nutrient solutions are utilized in our enhanced potting soils available in bulk and consumable bags.
The firsTurf range of nutrient solutions joins WMP’s established line of Designer Soils® and SilvaSport Playground Chips®. The Wolf Mountain brand has as its roots providing bulk mulch products in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado and Arizona.
Products and Markets
The firsTurf® range of foliar and soil applied nutrient solutions contains the unique urea-triazone (N-SURE®) source of slow release nitrogen (SRN) and K (potassium) (KTS®) from the high analysis potassium thiosulfate solutions providing high quality and stable blends. These products are very compatible with other nutrients, (a jar test is recommended prior to mixing) and are ideal for fertigation applications in golf courses, turf and nursery applications. firsTurf nutrient solutions are available in 2.5 gallon, 5 gallon and 275 gallon totes. Bulk shipments are available on a special order basis.
N-SURE based fertilizers are well known and proven as the highest Nitrogen Utilization Efficiency (NUE) nitrogen source available. N-SURE based solutions improve nitrogen absorption, eliminates plant phytotoxicity and improves plant vigor. They blend easily and are compatible and stable when blended with a wide spectrum of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. (A jar test is recommended prior to mixing.)
firsTurf KTS® (potassium thiosulfate), a 0-0-25+17% Sulfur, is a clear liquid solution that is the safest and highest analysis K plus thiosulfate sulfur product in the market today. It is a non-leaching K making the K more available for plants than competitive sources of potassium. The thiosulfate molecule adds needed sulfur for root and plant health.
Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI) is an investor and equity holder of Wolf Mountain Products. TKI is a widely respected liquid fertilizer and crop protection manufacturer with unmatched chemistries. TKI is an agricultural and specialty bulk supplier of products where minimum shipments are measured in ships, barges, rail cars and semi-truck trailer quantities.
As a TKI business unit, Wolf Mountain Products stands in the shoes of, and is the manufacturer and marketer of the various chemistries developed by TKI. Initially, WMP will offer products in 275 gallon totes, 5 gallon pails and 2.5 gallon containers. Manufacturing facilities are located in California, Washington, Kansas, Ohio and Alabama with a distribution center in Utah. Bottling facilities are also available to the company. Note that not all products are made at all locations.
